I have a 727 and 400 out of a '76 cordoba that is going in my '70 challenger. I am looking for the dimensions of the tailshaft housing for the challenger.
The dimensions on the tranny i have are :
bellhousing to end of main housing: 15 1/2
end of main housing to end of tail shaft: 18 1/2
output shaft extends past housing by 1"
I also have a driveshaft from a '70 383 727 car with a 8 3/4 rear, and a 8 3/4 rear to go in the car.
So can i bolt it all together, or do i need a different output shaft/housing?
Anyone have an extra output shaft and housing they want to get rid of?
