I would verify both the engine and tranny match the VIN for that price without fender tag...

Thanks. Where is the engine stamped?

Article by cuda code on the site.

Ok got it. Appears to be just above the oil pan on the block on the passenger side...

make sure you check the body stamp numbers on the cowl and radiator mount.

My first cuda was a 72 without a fender tag.  Drove me nuts.

I try to not ever purchase a cuda without a fender tag unless it's a parts car.  or has a build sheet.

Good luck!  Let's see some pictures of it.

Bought it!  :cool dancing: I take delivery Sunday.
Here ya go. Its very nice inside and out, a 8 footer. Needs some freshening up and TLC up close. But everything works, org motor and metal.

Thats a nice car!! Missing fender tag wouldn't bother me but those 340 decals sure would.. In my opinion it's to original to paste stuff like that onto... Enjoy it!!

Yea I know. But I'll keep the "340" for now. I kinda like it but the placement is weird on this side, the other looks better.

NICE car!  I think you got a great deal....its looks to be in real nice shape.

How are the floors etc?

I am sure you know this but thats a 72 stripe.....73/74 was a wider stripe over the rear quarters.

Yep, that's a 72 stripe and a spoiler wasn't available on an E-body after 71.  Nice looking car though.  Congrats!

I like the spoiler and stripe. Doesn't bother me at all.  :woohoo:

Id be okay with that price. Looks like a nice car. Great platform to get started. As others have stated, if you're paying top dollar under the assumption it's all original, then yes a fender tag would be great. Even then, they can be faked? However you look like you got a fair deal. I found my fender tag buried behind my glove box a year and a half after I bought it. I also got the history from a local mopar shop who recognized the car. Said it was in a bad accident and they rebuilt the rear of it, and painted it black. I'm guessing they took the fender tag off during paint, and forgot to put it back.
