Where to buy front parking brake cable for 1971 Challenger
« on: April 27, 2017 - 10:08:48 AM »
Need to replace the frozen front parking brake cable on our 1971 Challenger with the intermediate cable setup.

Fine Lines doesn't sell them anymore and I remeber there were issues with incorrect cable lengths from Inline Tube a few years ago.

Does anyone know if Inline has corrected the problem?

Is there any place else that sells this cable that will fit?

Finally, how difficult is this cable to replace?
Do I need to remove the parking brake mechanism?

Thanks.

Contact MoparDave at Roseville Chrysler as he's a member here and offers members a discount. As for the cable, I would remove the brake assembly to change out the cable. When I first tore my car down, I'll be damned if I could get that swine cable out and ended up taking a big pair of sidecutters to it. Hopefully, with age comes knowledge.
