This is a pic of my trunk on my '70 Cuda.  I see the cutout only on one side.  Is this normal?  Was going to purchase and install a rear spoiler but what brackets do I buy?

Thx!

The ones you're looking for run near the rear edge of the deck lid and go all the way across the panel. My re-pop AMD deck has them in it.

Thx.  What is the large cutout top left?   Only on one side. All the trunk I've seen on the parts sights two cutouts or none.

Here's some pictures for reference

1970 Cuda trunk lid underside:

Go Wing mounting hardware kit:

Wish I could help you with that one large cutout. It almost looks like what the 1971 Gull wing mounting hole looks like but why just one.

Went to the Mopar Spring Fling (Canada) show and asked about your trunk lid. Both "Gurus" said the same thing. Your trunk lid is a '72 and up version. The larger cutout is the same pattern as used on '71's for the Gull Wing spoiler. That one cutout was put there merely to facilitate the installation of the trunk light wire. One of the guys actually had your identical lid for sale there.

I was always curious about the one large cutout on those lids too. I'd be curios if your investigation comes up with the same. Sadly though, yours is definitely not a 1970 trunk lid, it had to have been switched out at some time.

Thanks for solving the mystery!  No big deal, I'll hold off on the spoiler install for the future.  The paint on my car is impeccable and wouldn't be too hard to match with a '70 trunk lid,but low on the want list.
