Now that I have the entire instrument panel out, I going down the hit list and next is the parking brake light that never worked. So mechanically the switch is there on the E brake and seems to be mechanically working so I needed to convince myself which side of the bulb is not working. If someone could validate my logic, I took an Ohm meter and with one end grounded to the frame and the other inside the bulb socket on the black wire ( actually I tried both) I step on the E brake looking for 0 ohms or close to it. Nada! so now if that logic seems valid which is my first question, my next is can someone point me to a vendor that supplies these switches or am I missing something in the debugging logic?- It's a 73 Cuda.
