73 Cuda to 71 front end
« on: April 18, 2017 - 12:03:26 PM »
Hi there,

Im in the middle of restoring my 73 Cuda. After getting the paint off the car, the front fenders turned out to be in very rough shape, so we decided to go with 71 front fenders instead. One thing led to another, and now I've bought the 71 grille and the rest of the hardware to go with it.

My dilemma is the 73 front bumper and the way it sticks off of the car. The outgoing 73 grille had a filler panel attachment on the underside to compensate for this bumper gap. The 71 grille however does not have this attachment, which would leave quite an ugly space.

If i were to buy 70-71 front bumper and mounting brackets, will they bolt to the 73 car, or is there anything else I'll require?

Thanks in advance for all input!
Cheers,

Robin
