'70 Cuda 440 6 pack shaker, numbers matching
« on: April 18, 2017 - 04:53:49 PM »
Ok, here goes...

Selling my baby...numbers matching 70, 440 6 pack shaker hood cuda.  I've owned the car for about 15 years and have significant work on it.  I don't have the original build sheet, but everything matches (VIN tag, fender tag, Cowl, Door sticker, engine block, radiator stamp, tranny)  It has a few "non" stock items such as the cam, headers and exhaust, but otherwise in stock form.  Please serious inquiries only...located in southern California. Below is the link on Hemmings...

Asking $89,500 negotiable

Rob

Nicely optioned good luck with the sale.

Question for the gurus,  from the engine pic it looks like car has a 22" radiator.  You'd think it would come with a 26" from the factory being a V code car, no?  The fact that it is a shaker car probably has nothing to do with it, but don't think I have seen an original shaker car V code car with a 22" rad.
Just curious...

Correction, if it's an Auto with no A/C, no Axle Pkg & no towing pkg it gets a 22"

No axle package meaning no Sure Grip?
That wasn't standard on 440+6 car?

Axle pkg meaning more than a 3.23 gear... S/G wasn't standard & wouldn't automatically trigger a radiator upgrade of ordered.... Add a 3.55-3.91 or a 4.10 & you get a 26" radiator....

Thanks for the reply Rob.
Does it overheat with the 22" rad with the mods done to the 440 ( headers etc.. ) ?
