71 cuda, how does the hood to rad seal for a shaker hood attach?
...I don't see a bunch of holes in the hood for any clip attachement.

Should be the same as any other 70-71 E body... Repo Hood? Looking toward the front of the hood..

it is a AMD hood, other wise been perfect.... ill have to look on the back side tonight, thanks.

so I looked last night and as I feared, no holes of any kind, for the hood /rad seal...
so what now, try gluing one on, drill some holes, don't put a seal on at all...?

Major PITA but I think I'd drill the holes... Cover the front of the car with blankets to prevent metal chips from gettinging when you don't want them... use the seal to lay them out, once drilled paint them with a brush to prevent rust... The seal will hide any sloppy paint work... Are the outboard tabs there & drilled?

Put a couple layers of painters tape on the hood under where the seal is going to lay. Put the seal in place and mark the holes with a Sharpie. Drill the holes and then remove the tape. Put some paint on the bare metal before installing the seal. The clips will probably rub off the paint you just applied but I'd still feel better knowing I'd applied some paint before hand.

the hood has the outboard tabs and they are drilled.... strange that the holes for the rest of the seal are not there, well none the less, if shaker cars always had this seal? then ill order a seal and drill some holes.

Are the two holes (one on each end) just inboard of the tabs on the flat area of the hood there? Second photo shows the hole pretty clearly...

So they just missed the holes on the backside of the stiffener rib.... There are four usable holes which should locate the seal well, you just need to mark & drill the six holes on the backside of the stiffener rib...
If you look at the first picture I posted you'll see the seal follows the upper curve contour, and as seen in this picture just clears the hood latch loop.... If you look straight in from the front side it disappears behind the brace....

My AMD shaker came with no holes and fortunately I still had the original hood so making a template was easy and drilling no problem. If you haven't mounted the hood and have the hood pin option you will have to massage the pins forward (bend) to align with the holes.
