I personally love the wide M28 moldings and I think they look terrific on your car! Got to admit, I didn't know you could put them on a '72-'74 as I thought that they only fit on a '71. While I'm at it, got to say I think your whole car looks terrific - that's a great looking '72!
When I bought it it was petty blue, with blue carpet, headliner, door panels dash etc. Black vinyl top.
The top & the interior were perfect.
But it developed rust bubbles in the rear quarters.
When I had it restored, I decided to go old school-
like checking off all the options I wanted as if I was ordering it from a dealer.
I added the go wing, took off the side strobes & added the full 70 body stripe,
put in power windows, power disc brakes, a/c. the flip top gas cap etc.
Also put on American Racing 17 inch wheels, got rid of the 14 inch rallys
Back in 1971 I bought a new challenger- blue with a white top & interior
and an electric sunroof.
That m28 wide molding was about $58 then.
The NOS set I bought on ebay cost me more than the new chally I bought in 1971.
