Steering wheel refurbish
« on: May 30, 2017 - 12:30:59 PM »
Didn't think I was able to pull it off, the steering foam was in a horrible shape, but the end result came in pretty darn good, no its not perfect.

I'ved done this in the past one other projet, but this one was a challenge.

Its one of the first thing I wanted to do when I got my '73 Cuda (don't know have a thing for good looking steering wheel lol) and I can't stand leather wrapping!
Next I will try the dash pad!

That looks awesome! Can I ask what you used to 'patch' the outer rim? That is really amazing!

I had some leftover Allstar roll bar padding laying around.
If I had to do it again I would have used plumbing insolation (foam padding)...more dense than roll pad padding.
