Thanks. does anyone know if they make a bolt on fuel injection set up? I was looking at fuel injection or a 4 barrel.

FiTech makes a bolt EFI throttle body that gets good reviews.

My first brand new car was a 1970 Challenger with the slant 6, and 3 speed on the floor.   Only options were Power Steering, White walls, wheel covers, and an AM radio.   I loved that car, sure it wasn't all that fast, but it would cruise at 70mph all day long, and get 19 MPG in local driving and 27 on the highway.  It was dark green with the tan interior.

On a hot summer day in 72 traded it in on a new 72 Charger SE with 318/auto and AIR CONDITIONING!!

Two days later was back at the dealership, getting some minor defect repaired on the Charger, and in the back was my Challenger.   They had sold it to a teenage kid, who rolled it over the first day he owned it, totaling it.  When i saw it ...i had tears coming from my eyes.

Of course its your choice..But if "fuel economy" is a factor, frankly, I cant see a full size car getting better gas mileage with a 6.  Maybe at cruise, but any time you need to mash the gas in normal driving, you might use more gas than an 8.  Anyhow, Ive had two cars that came with a 6.  A 70 cuda, and a 71.   I replaced the 70 with a 340.   The 71 with a 440.   No way I'd go back.
