I have owned several Mopars, a 66 Hemi Coronet, two 1970 Coronets (one with a 440 six pack), a 68 charger, a 70 & 73 challenger and now my 71 Challenger.
I wish I never gotten rid of my hemi car and my 6 pack car! I sold my hemi in 1985 for $3500! When I got hired with the Jacksonville sheriffs office in 1995 I went to a call (I was in training at the time) at a business that mows the right of way on the highways. While I was talking to the owner, I noticed a blue Coronet parked next to his building. There was something about the car, so I walked over and looked at it. it was my old hemi car! it had not changed one iota since the day I sold it. I asked the owner if he would sell it, and he stated that he would consider it. When I got out of the field training program (3 months later) the business, and the car were gone. i havent been able to track them down since.
Ahhh, those were the days, when Mopars were plentiful and cheap! I had the chance to buy a 70 Satelite with a hemi for $1500, but it had a mod top, and I thought it was ugly!!! Then there was the 69 Super Bee for $500 (complete) that I passed on about the same time!!!
I tried to send pics but they are the wrong format, i guess.
