Hi. Forgive me as brake line fittings flares, threads and sizes have always been confusing for me. I have a set of wilwood discs up front. The sticker over the inlet hole says 1/8-27 (the proper male fitting to go in the caliper would measure 3/8 diameter across threads, I measured this using a spare plug I had that threaded easily into the inlet). I have a set of OEM style flex lines (70-73 B/E body standard disc, classic industries p/n MD7051) and the thread on the caliper end of the line is too big and it is inverted flare, 7/16 (diameter across threads). I have seen some adapters to make this jump and switch the flare, some are on wilwood's site even. However they are listed as chassis and m/c adapters. So, my question, is it safe/ normal practice to use these also between the flex line and caliper? Or do I need to bite the bullet and get the whole willwood brand flex line kit?
Thanks
Mike
