6.4 Wiring Help Needed
« on: October 08, 2017 - 02:59:17 PM »
My factory wiring harness is not sending power simultaneously to the ignition position and crank position. It will only send power to one or the other and the Mopar Performance wiring harness system for my 6.4 requires both hot at the same time. Has anyone else had this issue during their swaps? If so, how did you resolve this?

Apparently the previous owner cut some of the factory wires when installing the painless wiring harness during the restoration. Not sure if those missing wires are now causing me issues. I do not want to do anything that might damage or harm my 6.4 computer.

Thank you
Daryl

You'll need power that is usually sent to the coil and or ballast resistor. Do you have those wires defined in the painless harness?

You could just use a toggle switched 12v for a temporary solution if you're trying to get it running.
