I'm cutout find out how rare my car is, any help
Is appreciated. I have a Fc7 in violet, 383 column auto, bench seat, billboards are the basics. I do not have original engine/transmission. I've been researching some but found out it's one of 1169 with engine/trans combo but would like to know more with color and other details affect overall rarity???

Unfortunately, Chrysler only tracked the production on each option individually - and didn't combine options other than the engine/trans or sometimes the engine/trans/axle ratio. So your engine/trans number that you found already is it. You could find out the production of each individual option for your car - and maybe the color or another option would be less than your engine/trans number. You mentioned billboards - if I recall - the installation rate is pretty low for that option. If your car is a true billboard car - that would probably be the option that is the rarest on your car. Thanks Scott, my car is a true black billboard car, I read that option came on less than 10% of Cuda. Hopefully I can figure out how many cars were purple?

I found a similar thread from a February 2015 which had some good info on production numbers by color. According to the posted chart, 1971 Challengers showed 10% in FC7. It was the second most popular color. I'm assuming the Cuda color production was similar.

Certain unusual options make the car rare like shakers, billboards, 4 speeds, etc. but all these things are also desirable to most. In my opinion, certain colors can be very rare and yet still be very undesirable no matter how unusual (pukey greens and baby poop browns for instance).

You have a very cool car that's worth holding onto.

Every car when broken down by the factory options can be considered 'low production', however that does not make the car 'rare'. There are tons of obscure combinations of options that can make any car very low production combinations. For example how many 71 Cudas were built with 383, autos, FC7, V6X and a block heater? Fools game.

When considering your car with a 383, automatic, and FC7, to me, it is not what I consider rare. If you are talking about Hemi 4 door sedans you are talking about rare vehicles.
