The grill is very interesting, can you explain the process of making it?

We started with a sketch of what we wanted the front end to look like- essentially a 2015 Challenger.
Then we started with the data for our 2015 Challenger grille/lights.
We scanned the body of the car with a laser.
Then we adapted the data to fit the scan of the car.
The next step was to mill out a "plug"- essentially all A side surface with B side dimensions- and test fit it to the car.
This process works pretty well, but sometimes the integrity of our scans isn't what we want it to be.

Once we like the way everything fits, we start to make the separate parts with dimensions and B side attachments.

Thanks for posting the pictures of this project - it's incredible! Do you have any information about where the wheels were sourced? Are they direct from Dodge or?

I'll find out if these are custom wheels that we modified from a modern scat pack wheel.
My guess is that they are, but you never know!

Same deal on the tail side of things..
We took the data from the stock 2015+ Challenger tail lights and fit them to the car.-
As you can see in one of my previous posts, the stock tail lights have a seam/gap between what mounts on the body, and what mounts to the deck lid.

Here you can see that the old Challenger has a fixed tail light panel... presenting an interesting challenge...

I love those tail lights. If that was sold as a kit I would definently pay good money for it.

I have a 72 Challenger and have been thinking of using the 2016 tail light ass'y and the grille from the same or earlier. I viewed the complete post and wanted to ask a few questions. Was a 2016 factory replacement taillight ass'y modified to fit? If so, how did you deal with the split lenses? Was a factory replacement grille ass'y modified to fit?  Can someone forward these questions to the originator of this information? Thank you, Ed

What seats did your team use? The interior picture I found looks amazing.

We used the ridiculously overpriced Viper seats. Had to cut the floor to drop the seats in

Ed, all the "new" challenger parts were extremely modified to fit. Most of these parts are custom one off pieces, cast and milled for this build.
I'd have to ask if they are willing to sell casts/new parts, and ask what they might cost.

The bumpers are custom made? Or de-chromed?

Fantastic thread, please send more... :-)

Bumpers are cut down originals, shaped and tucked into the body. I believe They are de chromed and painted.

Hey, DMZ73? any updates on this build?
Just saw this car at Mopars in the Park last weekend. Dodge had quite a display there including the new Demon and the Shakedown Challenger. The workmanship on the Shakedown is impressive. The gaps on the tucked in bumpers were perfect, the grille and tail lights look like they were made for the car. I'd like to do the same front and rear treatment to my car but I don't have the mad skills needed to pull it off.

Dodj, would you be so kind to send/upload photos in high resolution? The forum has file size limit, but maybe uploading to wetransfer or some similar service and then sharing the link?
