If you want to see how your engine or transmission serial number (not VIN) is decoded, then see this page:

These date code stampings on the engines and transmissions can be a little hard to decode for beginners so the plan is to make a simple page where people can look to get all the info they need without it being confusing. Please let me know your thoughts.
Here's the Julian Perpetual date codes. These are hte most common date codes on E-Bodies.
