WTB 70-71 Cuda 4 speed car
« on: March 05, 2017 - 07:17:51 PM »
Ok Guys n Gals....

So i guess i'm going to cross my fingers and all my toes to hopefully help me find my next Mopar.

As mentioned in my newbie thread i was the owner of a 1969 440 Charger which i restored and owned for around 7 yrs which i have recently sold.

Looking for my next Mopar project...chasing 70-71 Cuda 4 speed car/340ci minimum. Complete car preferred.....can be a partly restored car......not wanting a basket case thats full of rust as rebuilding a car from overseas is not a cheap exercise.

I am open to later models but obviously my preference is 70-71....i am trawling thru as many websites as i can find and any suggestions where to look will be very welcomed....

Thx in advance  :aussie:

Bump....

Also looking at 70-71 Challys as 2nd preference....budget will be initially around 20-25k USD...that will include shipping to Oz...not a huge budget but should be a good starting point.

Hoping to find a project from another fellow forum member.

Cheers A :)

That could be tough in that price range. 4 speed 71 Cudas in poor condition start at that price. Maybe a few dollars less for the 70s but you should expect some rust at that price.

I'm inclined to disagree....although there is merit in what you say for sure...some rust is ok

I do have a realistic idea of what i can get for my money.....my budget is a starting point....there are good deals out there, just gotta be patient.

Good luck in your hunt . These cars are so popular ,which makes it hard .It took me 18 mths to find a good  70 cuda  .  in my budget .   :aussie:

Hi mopacltd,

Totally get where you are coming from, but i have owned and restored a Mopar before so i'm not thinking i can complete a car for my budget...my budget is to get one in my possession...then start the resto process over time....i'm happy to wait a while until i find the right deal
