Performance challenger

I am wondering on the new challenger what am I looking for in performance car. Which is stock 6.2. I like the shaker hood or the t/A one. Now do they have a special track mode and I don't like mode which shuts down the hemi and any help would be great

Maybe its just me, but I am not sure what you are asking here. You asked "what am I looking for in performance car"? I would say only you can answer that; are you looking for a drag car, road racer, or something else. If you are asking how much performance (HP) the new Challengers have, just go to the website. I believe only the Hellcat and Demon have "track modes" (and the Viper of course).

What I meant there are different types of Challenger 's the t/A, shaker , scat pack so many to choose from. What I am saying is which one is a good performance with the 6.2 hemi ,now I am not talking about the demon or the hell cat

A quick visit to the Dodge site shows that you have these basic options

5.7 powered cars
6.4 powered cars
6.2 supercharged cars
The Demon

There are multiple models within each except the Demon; each of the models in a specific group will perform generally the same as the others with the packages being more for looks than performance. Regardless of which one you go with, it will be a fun and fast ride; even the Challenger GT AWD would be a blast.

So, it comes down to what you can find and how much you want to pay.

If you don't want your cylinders shutting down on the highway with the MDS system then either go with the manual transmission or put the automatic in manual mode and bump the shifter up to eighth gear.  It will work just like an automatic without shutting down the cylinders on the highway.
