Color of Barracuda Grill

What color is the grill for a 70 Barracuda supposed to be? I always thought is was grey. The reason I'm asking, because I need to replace my grill. It's grey now but Classic industries ad says "must be painted to match original. I had a Cuda before and the grill was also grey.  Thanks

Most are molded of gray plastic... AAR are molded of black plastic... But the gray ones should be painted with textured argent which is a fairly heavy texture with aluminum grit that glitters....

Wild R/T is correct on the grille paint it is argent with glitter. Not argent used for the wheels. I buy my grille and rear tail panel  paints from Herb's auto parts and Totally auto. I like Totally auto for the grille call  215-322-2277.

Bought two cans of light argent from Totally Auto recently , gotta get the body color off the grille.

Light Argent, but a lot depends on the lighting as to what color your grill will look like when installed.  Some lighting it is very much a bright silver, but in other lighting is looks medium dark gray.  I have pics on my car with my grill color looking all over the silver-gray color spectrum just because of the lighting that particular day.
