Blacked out hood
« on: September 11, 2004 - 05:05:31 PM »
alright guys thanks for the hep with paint codes and everything. Now that i am getting ready to paint i have seriosly been thinking of blacking out the entire front like a 70 aar cuda. My question is if you guys think that would be wrong of me to do being that i have a challenger. This is my first mopar and i really like that look of having it all blacked out but i dont should do that or not. i guess in the end it my car and my decision butit always helps to know what other mopar guys think

I don't think the front top of the fender line lends itself to being blacked out in my opinion
I think that's why the T/A just had the hood blacked out.

I think on those cars with the rallye hoods look best with the black stripe over them but if you
paint them all black you might lose sight of  some of those cool lines 8)

I think most of us will tell you it`s your car so do what you want, except put it on a 4x4 chassis.  ::) ;D I would try it first in a photoshop program so I could get a better idea how it would look.

I think 360 is correct you will definitely lose some of those E-Body lines we have all come to love.  ;)

Photo shop is a great idea.

Like Torredcuda said.. you do what you want.. As you can see i have a clone myself. If i had a challenger i would just do the hood blacked out. if you do... use the T/A hood or a lift off.

If i had to redo my car I would use the ralley hood but i have clearance issues so im sticking with what i have for atleast a few more years.

Wondering if you decided to do this or not.. I recently got a 70 Challenger and have been thinking of doing the same thing...

Any photoshop gurus out there?
