Instrument Cluster Connections Question

I am tracing out some lose connections, and I have a red wire with a black connector that wasn't hooked up. My wipe/wash knob seems to have an extra post with nothing connected. Does this go here? See below picture - the post in the foreground.
 

Secondly, my clock has never worked. What are these lose connectors supposed to go to that I found behind the dash? (gray connector w/ red and orange wires, black connector w/ black & black/yellow wires, and yellow bullet connector) Does one hook up to the clock?
 

Also, it looks like someone removed the adjustment knob and and whatever connects to the adjustment part on the bottom of clock. What does the connection look like and where does the knob go on the dash?

The connector with the orange and red wires powers the radio.  The empty post on the wiper switch is supposed to be empty.

I think the black connector with the black and black/tracer wires is a socket for the headlight reminder buzzer that is on a '71 but not on our '70.

Here's the only picture I could find of a standard dash clock with the reset ass'y. If I recall correctly, there's a shaft that goes up the black tube with a gear on the end and the chrome button screws onto the bottom of that shaft with a barrel nut.

Thanks, I had no idea what I was looking for.  Where does the chrome knob/button pop out, or is it hidden behind the dash?

Not hidden. There should be a hole in the plastic bezel below the clock for the knob to stick out. People have been known to remove the reset because there wasn't a hole for it if they installed a clock in a car that didn't come with it.

Here's a picture of my original dash (converted it to rallye). You can see the chrome sticking out on the left below the clock. The hole has to be large enough for a bit of the black tube to stick out too.
