PARTS REQUEST!!
« on: July 08, 2005 - 05:29:54 AM »
I know this is way last minute but stupid me didn`t think to do this earlier. Can someone down there help me out and look for a part for me?I need a drivers side TINTED rear quarter glass for a `69 Barracuda, two bolt style.I will run out and get a pic for comparison, just be sure it is tinted and bolts into track not bonded in.I`ll gladly pay up to $50 + any shipping as I`ve been looking for three years with no luck, thanks.

This is the CORRECT style glass(except it`s clear),triangle shape, fastback is different, note two bolt holes.

This is WRONG style, bonded into track.

If the rain ever stops and we actually get there, I will be more than happy to keep an eye out for the glass you need.

Is it still raining??? What does the forecast call for the rest of the weekend?? I was planning on leaving at 2-3 AM and getting there around 9, but if the weather is going to suck, I might just stay home. The main reason I am going is for parts.....

If someone is unable to locate one at Carlisle. I can check with my friend who has piles of Abody parts. I also know of 1 69 in a yard we already started taking apart. Not sure of tint or non tint. Is the bolt on style channel specific to 69?

It looks tinted to me in the pic but I e-mailed the seller when it was up for bid and asked if it was tinted and he responded it was not.I explained it would say TINT on the glass by the manufacturer`s mark but maybe he did n`t look in the right spot?I already bought two wrong sets of glass even though I clearly stated what I needed so I didn`t want to take a chance on it being clear.  :banghead:

Maybe I'm still sunbaked from the weekend, but which do you actually have, a notchback or a fastback? I parted a '67 fastback a few years ago & may still have both sides to compare. I know they are tinted if I still have them.
