Is there a difference between a small block and big block K member? I currently have a slant six in my 70 barracuda and want to put a small block in. I know the slant K member is different. Thanks

You can bolt either a big or small block to the same K with the correct engine mount brackets.... But some big blocks (mostly 440's) had an additional skid plate welded on to protect the oil pan.... The skid plate is available as a repo...

You can buy the skid plate separately and weld one on.
You won't be able to jack up the front as easily if you do, since the jack has nowhere to put under the K member.
