1970 Cuda Neutral safety switch adjustment?

Is there an adjustment for Neutral Safety Switch? My Cuda will always start in Neutral and every once in awhile in Park. I thought it was a bad switch so installed a new one and same issue exists.

There are three possibilities... Shift linkage adjustment.... Does the car lock solidly in park?
Two bad switch.... Unless you track down an old NOS switch the new ones are made in China & often don't work.. Your netter off with a old used switch
Three you might have an early (pre 69) valve body without the comb....

I'm thinking it might be the shifter needs a slight adjustment. Sometimes I think it's in Park and it will roll backwards and then catch. I'll have to see how to adjust shift linkage to make sure it's firmly in park. Sometimes it will start in Park but most of the time it must be in neutral.

Last resort, drop the pan to check the rooster comb alignment with the pin of the switch. There are a few switch manufacturers and they are all made slightly different. Some have longer pin. I have a post at another e body site under electrical.
