Hood bubble

I was changing the valve cover gaskets on my 70 "cuda and the hood bubble slipped down beside the engine. I put 3 scratches in the shaker when I removed it, and now I need to find out what paint was used. The bubble is silver, and the original color I believe, so would it be the stock A4? Any thoughts? I believe I can smooth them out and touch it up, but if not, its off to a body shop to repaint the entire shaker. Damn.

its argent silver. Touching up scratches like that can be difficult. Unfortunately I think you are going to have to go to a body shop.

It should be Texture Argent....   Best match currently available is from Roger Gibson    scroll to the bottom of page 10 of the link...

Depends on your comfort level... Forty years ago I would have... These days a shaker car is worth fixing the right way....  But if you'd rather spray bomb it Totally Auto does offer an option... Not nearly as good as they tout it to be but much better than Rustoleum
