Hey Richard............there are a number of sources who rebuild carbs.........year one just takes their cut and sends to someone else.........if you look on the internet or Hemmings magazine lots and lots of shops rebuild carbs...........what i think is important is a shop that puts the original finish back on your carb.........I just love the new finish on a carb........  The new OEM appearance.......otherwise there are several talented people who rebuild carbs......( but I am not one of them...he he)    It is harder to find parts for your Carter carb though........

TropicalCats,

what do you think is involved in rebuilding a carb, that you think is out of your own skill set ?

If you can soak parts in a fluid, and follow instructions with pictures, with a little forethought and common-sense and check your work as you go along, there isnt any magic to the process.

Holley, Carter, Rochesters...  Just no mystery to it.   Seriously.

Your both right . I will get a rebuilt kit and give it a try and if I find my self with  trouble or doubt I always have the board.
