    Is it possible to wire an idiot (alternator) light into a 1970 charging system with 2 x field Alternator and Alternator regulator?

    I believe that it can, however you would have to research the internet for the instructions.

    Tried that. Loads of info EXCEPT for two terminal Mopar with regulator specific. Any help would be appreciated.

    The Chrysler alternator/regulator doesn't support it, you would need an added module...

    I have to apologize, I made a vague statement without researching it. Now that I look, it appears a lot more difficult that it would seem. I have looked at quite a few wiring diagrams and it appears the idiot lights trigger off of the relay but I would suspect that there would have to be a load sensing module of some type to trigger a light. I will keep looking at solutions and if I find something I will post it here.

    Do you have a volt meter in the car?

    I did see that but my eyes glazed over! I have an ammeter but no voltmeter on my 70 Challenger. Perhaps I am an idiot but having driven cars for 50 years with this light I kinda miss it. Hard to believe there isn't a simple way to do it but I can't figure it.

    I agree which is why I said what I did initially; it seems like something that should be easy to figure out and install but obviously that is not the case. I even looked for a programmable volt meter that would have a light come on if the volts dropped or spiked but didn't find anything.

    I would suggest installing an aftermarket volt meter, they make really small ones if you dont want it really showing.

    I think that’s the route I would take also. A voltmeter tells you a lot about the health of the system.
