Turbos, stupid amounts of boost and hypereutectic pistons is not a recipe for longevity and when you add in a "drive it like you stole it" mentality, $hit happens!
Plus about every bolt in the reciprocating short block was probably strethched to the hilt. Would have happened sooner
I suspect, if not for LS engines having 6-bolt main caps.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"
