This old publicity shot of the film car shows the emblem on the rally hood.

That's cool, I think it is the first time I have ever saw that. For some reason I thought that was a 6 pack car (the one in the movie).
Current Mopar
70 Challenger RT 440-6 EFI, 73 Cuda 416-6 EFI
05 Hemi Durango, 01 Ram 4x4, 14 Ram 2500 4X4, 10 PCP Challenger 6 spd RT, 01 Viper GTS ACR, 52 B3B w/330 Desoto Hemi, 70 Hemi RR (under const)
Past Mopars

That's cool, I think it is the first time I have ever saw that. For some reason I thought that was a 6 pack car (the one in the movie).

The first car in the first film was made out to be a 440–6, then in part 2 he had to build a whole new car because the first car was sold off many years before they shut the second film.

I originally was planning on doing the part 1 car, I was contemplating on doing the fender flares and everything... and then a 426 landed in my hands and the rest is history. I was able to buy the engine at a crazy price because my good friend owned it and then it hit me that I should build the part 2 car that was supposed to be a Hemicuda in the film but was only a small block. That first film car is awesome and even cooler than the one I’m building in a few ways. Would make a killer Day 2 car.

Thank you Mike, yeah I took about nine months off of the project dealt with my new house for a while. Just got caught up in all kinds of other stuff, it’s good to be back on the site here. Not much traffic like there used to be on here  it seems!

The body is all painted and buffed out, all that’s left to buff out is the tail panel. So far everything is beautiful, and I love the single stage black. Heading down to the shop on Friday to take some nice shots of it and some HD video.
