Aftermarket steering wheels for a 1970 Cuda
« on: January 31, 2019 - 06:21:07 PM »
What has everyone used as an aftermarket steering wheel for a 1970 Cuda?  I was looking at the Tuff Wheel.  MCB Restoration had one for $245 with the adapter costing $149.  Josh's Muscle Car Parts may have the same one (really not sure) for $159 and the adapter costing $149.

What do you mean by "aftermarket"? I believe that most of the Tuff wheels out there will bolt right up. If you are referring to something else like something from Billet Specialties or any of the plethora of steering wheels out there; it can be done but isn't easy.

I have 2, actually 3 different aftermarket Tuff Wheels.

1) Grant - hard grip with a ridge all the way around. lowest price, least original looking but is a decent wheel.

2) Dales Cuda Shop - More accurate look without the ridge but just as hard a grip. More expensive than Grant

3) PG Classics - Looks great and has a "Leather" more cushioned grip. Like it the best.
Got mine from PG with a 25% off Coupon a couple years ago from PG's web site Black Friday sale.

I have several grant wheels and several originals; the Grants are ok but as Randy says not very authentic.
