Ive never seen any screws holding them on, as far as I know they were held on by adhesive. I see there is a hole in your plate, didn't think there was supposed to be a hole there  :clueless:

The hole was put there by the pervious owner- when I removed the sticker there was a screw holding it to the old pad- I was just wondering if you use adhesive or just push the little pegs into the pad to put it on.

Just the pegs to align it and adhesive to hold it on.

What adhesive would be appropriate?  I was thinking of a few drops of RTV or and adhesive for the door weatherstripping.  Any thoughts?

RTV will work, however it might dry out. I would use something like windshield adhesive or even an epoxy. Don't use Gorilla glue as it expands. Whatever you use, use some tape to hold it in place until dry.

3M weatherstrip adhesive will work. Coat both sides and allow them to dry for a couple of minutes before sticking them together. You might consider filling that hole with epoxy and touch it up to help hide the hole.
