Anyone Help with Challenger tire/wheel size
« on: June 15, 2020 - 02:23:02 PM »
I finally got my Challenger. It's a 1972 with a 340. I currently have skinnies on the front and 255x60x15 on 15x8 with 4.5"BS  Sport Star Cast Aluminum Wheels. Stock suspension.

I've been on multiple forums and tried to find the info before posting for help but I get partial answers since there are so many different sizes and combos as well as partial info on what people have eg. They say what size tire/wheel but leave out the backspace info.
Can I take my 15x8 rim and use it on the front with 245x55 without clearance issues (open to widest  size recommendations)
Also I would like to run same rim style on rear but 15x10 with a different back set. What backseat would I need?
My other thought for the short term would be keep the rear tire/wheel as is and get a 15x7 for front. Would a 245 fit well on it?
I would much rather go the wide option of course without spring mod or tubbing. Thanks
