WTB 72-74 barracuda or cuda
« on: June 18, 2020 - 10:07:49 PM »
Looking for a father and son project   My 11 year old is a car guy and saw a picture of my first car which was a 71 cuda and now he’s hooked. More concerned with a solid body as we have done a lot of mechanical stuff together. Thank you

Might want to post a budget (what you are looking to spend), there are lots of cars out there but it depends what category you are wanting. You might subscribe to Mopar Collectors Guide, they have a want ad section in the middle that is divided by body style, I saw a 71 roller in there for $9500 in the current issue.
Current Mopar
70 Challenger RT 440-6 EFI, 73 Cuda 416-6 EFI
05 Hemi Durango, 01 Ram 4x4, 14 Ram 2500 4X4, 10 PCP Challenger 6 spd RT, 01 Viper GTS ACR, 52 B3B w/330 Desoto Hemi, 70 Hemi RR (under const)
Past Mopars
9 x Challengers. AAR Cuda, 4 RR, 2 GTX, 4 Chargers, etc... (too many to list)

Thank you 70chall440 I will look into  the collectors guide,   As far as what we’re looking for 72-74 running or not cuda or barracuda.  We are actually more interested in a solid body than it being a #’s matching or rare car.  Would like to stay around 10k

10K is a reasonable starting point for a non numbers car with a good body.  I see lots listed for 12-15K that sit on CL for a long time.  I figure those can be had with 10-11K.
I see them pretty often on Craigslist.  Are you looking there?  Fakebook is a crappe shoot when looking for a cuda.

I’m in KC mo area and have been checking but have only seen the pre 70 barracudas since I started searching about a week ago.  I will certainly continue to check there but to broaden my search I’ve joined this site.
