Turn signal resets my radio
« on: September 25, 2020 - 09:58:35 PM »
I have an aftermarket radio that turns off and switches back to its set up menu whenever I use the turn signal. What the he..!  Is this a ground issue and if it is, what needs to be grounded?

That's quite the wiring mix up.  I'm curious to know what you find out.

Whats crazy about it is that I have it wired into the spare wire that comes from the fuse block that is used for auxiliary purposes. I believe it is the orange or yellow.    :clueless:

Why didn't you just get power off the red wire from the original radio's plug?
Orange is typically used for lighting, yellow might be lighting too.

I will have to look, it may be the red. I don’t remember, but when I tested it for power it was hot all the time, and that was the wire I needed for the continual power for memory. The Radio power comes from the original wire for the old radio.
