MSD Distributor timing curve setup
« on: February 02, 2021 - 04:06:33 PM »
Im about to install a full MSD ignition setup with the Pro Billet Distributor in my 70 Cuda with a street build 440.  With the timing curve springs that are included with the distributor and going by the timing curve charts, for my application, I can curve it to be "all in" at 2,500 RPM, 3,000 RPM and 3,500 RPM.

Which "all in" RPM range have you guys found to work best with street build 440's?

Depends on what you are doing with the car, is it a street car, race car or?? what trans? what gears? etc. If it an AT, what is the stall on the converter? All this said, on my 70 Challenger I think I am at total advance at around 2200-2500 (AT car, stock converter, 3.23 SG).
Current Mopar
70 Challenger RT 440-6 EFI, 73 Cuda 416-6 EFI
05 Hemi Durango, 01 Ram 4x4, 14 Ram 2500 4X4, 10 PCP Challenger 6 spd RT, 01 Viper GTS ACR, 52 B3B w/330 Desoto Hemi, 70 Hemi RR (under const)
Past Mopars
9 x Challengers. AAR Cuda, 4 RR, 2 GTX, 4 Chargers, etc... (too many to list)
