I need a locksmith, Chryco ?
« on: May 21, 2009 - 09:22:52 PM »
I have a under the flip top gas cap and went to have a key made for it. The local lockmith said he was able to make a key but a pin in the lock was broke. So now I have a key but still not able to lock the cap. Can this be repaired? The cap will still work without it but it would be nice to lock it up.

it should be repairable depending how the lock is assembled , if the lock was peened togther after assy , you might have to break the diecast to get apart limiting the possibliltiy of re-assy

Absolutely and if the lock has been assembled by a local locksmith then call that particular locksmith for the issue. It's easier for them to fix the problem.
