    70 driver side chrome mirror.....

    From tip to tip how long is the base of this...........there are three or four part numbers inside this base........i not convinced I have the early piece......

    The 70 piece is an inch shorter than the 71-74 base. I believe they are 4" and 5" respectively. I'll give you a definitely answer later when I measure mine.

    OK, the 71-74 base is about 6.25 inches end to end. That means the 70 base is about 5". Here is a link to an E-Bay auction for a 70 set. Does this look like yours?

     MEK's right. Also the 70 base is 4 1/4" and 3 1/16" center to center of the mounting holes; the 73 is 3 3/16" center to center of the mounting holes.

    Did they all come with just the drivers side mirror or is that just my car?   I have a hell of a time backing up without the other mirror
