67-76 Windshield washer pump
« on: October 08, 2005 - 10:26:24 AM »
The electric washer pump was the same for all Mopars from 67-71, and for MOST 72-3, and for Valient and Dart for 73-76. I need one for a concours restoration (otherwise I would buy a New Chrysler one from Year One for $40). Prefer (but not mandatory) one from late 69/ ealy 70, as they are date coded. The part number on the pump is 2809013.

Slight correction from the above. Only some very late 67 Mopar washer pumps are correct. But ALL MOPARS, including 4-door Chryslers, used there same pumps from 68-71, if the car had electric windshield washers.

And there are 2 varieties that can be differentiated by whether the barrel is held to the rest of the motor assembly by 3 screws, or whether it is crimped. The one with 3 screws can be disassembled and rebuilt- the other one is essentially "toast" if the motor gives out. I am looking for the rebuioldable one with the screws.

OK, I think the Mopar replacement part is 2809013. The ORIGINAL part number was 2771975. This # is atamped on the wite plastic part of the pump. This info from the guy at Concours Creations who rebiiulds these original pumps and does the best job redoing the Mopar wiper motors (I'm told).

This has been a learning experience!!!
