Throttle cable question
« on: February 28, 2006 - 02:16:54 PM »
Does anyone have a suggestion for a replacement throttle cable for my 71 440 Challenger. It seems the correct cable is discontinued. YO has one listed for a 68-70 B body big block 4 bbl. Do you think the sizes would be pretty close?

Mopar still has 2 listed as well . not sure the B body is the same , they mounted differently up to late 60s
I would order the longer 6 pack one from Mopar , it is in the MP catalog

As an option you could use a Lokar cable and bracket. http://www.lokar.com/

If you really need some flexibility and come up empty on these others, go to Bouchillon Performance. I found most everything out there too short for V8s, but haven't seen the 6 pack part. He sells an extra length (truck) piece with the correct firewall fit and long cable travel.
