I was having a problem with this too...How do you get the roll pin back in where the couple meets the gear out of the steering box?? Maybe freeze it and see if it'll do it for me ;)

I'd assume you're having problems aligning the gears on the steering box end.  There is an index spline that you'll need to align on to get everything butted back up so the roll pin can be pressed into position.

I actually got the index spline lined up, It's the one spline that's double wide... I just can't manage to squeeze the roll pin enough to press it back in... I was using vise-grips on it hoping it would compress and start in a little. Then I could softly tap/press it back in.

The main T-pin was a tight fit for sure. Had to back up the shaft with a heavy block to drive the old one out and the new one in. Once I got the clip right,(thanx 4C!) my coupler lined up fine with the master spline and slipped right on. The roll pin drove in easy enough. Actually, the one in the kit looked like it was slightly tapered; not sure if it was a defect or what but it made it easier to start in. You might try tapering one end of yours with a sanding disc. I wouldnt think it would be too bad
