drop air cleaner recommendation

Have a '74 Challenger with 440 and am using Eddy RPM intake with Holley. What air cleaner setup will I need to clear rallye hood? Wasd told that I would need a K&N top because a solid top would restrict flow because of the drop base.
Thnaks,
Dan

you should be able to run a 3" element with a drop base , the Xtreme K&N filtertops are a good idea also

I have a 3" K&N air-filter on my car. I believe the drop is 1 3/4", so you don't need that much clearance to get by.
