Cuda firewall layout and wire loom routing?
« on: October 03, 2005 - 07:11:30 AM »
Can someone repost the firewall layout for an Ebody? The guy that replaced my firewall tossed my old one and I dont have enough pics of where some things went. Right now am looking for the hole where the water valve (heater) cable comes thru the firewall on an AC car.

Also, my transmission reverse/neutral switch has 2-3 ft longer than it needs. Does it route over to the passenger side and then drop down to the switch to clear the shift linkage? I can't seem to figure why it is so long.

Additionally, I would like to put the fuel vapor canister back in the engine bay as well. Where does is it located on a 72 model?

Thanks in advance!

Mike, see if the attached pics help at all. You'll need to download the file and change the extension to .zip.  It's a zip file.

thanks for the pix, that answers my question where the canister goes. I still cant tell where the water valve cable comes out of the firewall and where the AC wire comes out of the firewall. I was thinking someone had a picture of a Chally firewall with all the penetration holes identified. The 72 manual just doesn't show enough detail. Also would like to know where the hi and lo horns were located. Previously they were located just behind the grille on the center support. Me thinks they didn't mount there originally.

I really want all new holes and component locations to be correct for the 72.
TIA
