What's it going to be worth
« on: September 19, 2005 - 11:30:29 AM »
Just wonder what you think a 1970 Challenger R/T 383 slapstix will be worth when all is done. I plan on a full rotesieri restoration
It's numbers matching plum crazy, black leather interior, white top. Car at first appears to be a R/T SE but I belive is a straight R/T with SE options added.  It will be restored to stock
Also does anyone know how I could track down where the car was originally sold.

I get nevous when I start looking at the input. My estimate on body and paint is around 10k and that still leaves me below the 25k range. the mechanicals I can save more by doing it myself. So I should be real good.

Looks like. He will probably get the job.
He came by last week to look it over. He's a real straight forward guy and man he sure knows his Mopars. He also understood that I don't just want to turn my car over to somebody, write a check and poof my cars done. I plan on being involved in the process.

Hey Trop, long time no hear. I sent you an email a long time ago....  ;D

Yeah, with the desirable color combo of FC7 and white top, with black seats, and S/E options, you're looking at a one of kind car. $40-45K is a conservative estimate when you are done with the car.

What did Jon have to say about the car, and how to save the broadcast sheet that is stuck on the floor?

I hope the car is worth that much Richard cause our cars are much the same..........alas though since gas has gone high, economy flagging makes luxuries like muscle car values stagnant.........i would think our cars worth more around $30 to $35K tops.........

My broadcast sheet is toast. I will try and get the best possible picture of it that I can but no way to remove it.

Thats just it it's not an RT/SE. It's an R/T with a bunch of SE options but its an R/T JS 23. Very different. The only thing it it's missing to be an R/T SE is the smaller rear window, the SE insignia and the JS29. I'm trying to track down how many had been made like this.
