    I went to visit a sick friend

    while coming home from a great two car find I thought I'd stop and look at the 71 barracud vert. behind the barn I've been after.

    when I pulled up the car was gone and a 1/2 mile of drag marks through the field and dddown the road!!!!!!!!!!!

    my gut sank, I called the owner to ask if he was intrested in selling it yet, not wanting him to know I had looked, he said some kids had chained up to it and dragged it down the road, neighbors saw sparks flying at 1am and called cops. all good car safe kids in klink.

    sad part ;  once again the guy said he gave it to his 8yr old daughter never for sale.  but he did invite me to come down with my car and B..S..
    and that he WOULD take my name and # just in case but not to hold my breath...   am I any closer?????

    last fall 10 grand didn't do it,   I think I'm closer too but at the same time when he does call the # will probably be 20 G. I can't go there

    I think you're closer.  I would definitely take my car down and bullsh!t with him for awhile!  I would then make sure he knows where I live too or a solid way to find me if he happens to misplace my numbers!  Holy sh!t that car would be sweet . . . I want to cry after seeing that picture.    Maybe you should caution some of the members that this thread is "PICS are not for the weak of heart"!

    Whats she going to do with that car anyway,seems strange to me or maybe its just his way to give that excuse so he doesnt sell it.When she comes of age she may not even care for the car.Still a shame to see it rotting in a field

    WOW that is a nice car

    I think a good B.S. session with the guy and its just one step closer......
    take a tarp with you and tell him we have to cover the car to preserve it atleast "browny points"

    HH, I'd say you're another step into the spotlight.  I agree with what OBH had to say.  That'd show him that you really do care for the car and you're not just trying to get it from him to resell for a profit. (not to mention if you pulled up with your very cool Challenger to talk with the guy.)
