this aint a kill story...yet.  i just wanna get some thoughts on this one.  im a junior in high school and what im REALLY starting to hear about now is this stupid integra.  the guy's got some obvious stuff done to it like a body kit, exhaust and uhh...something else.  everyone swears that his car is the fastest one at school mentioning it puts out 3-400 hp (i couldnt see it pushin 400) and this is coming from some of my friends who have lost to him.  i was also told there is no a/c in it anymore so i thought ok cool, he might have turbos.  

i just recently bought a 71 challenger w/a 4 barrel 440 magnum, 727 torqueflite, semi-locker rear end, just about nothing inside the car and some street-legal slicks.  i am REALLY dieing to get my car on the road and see who's gonna win....what does everyone else say?  oh yeah, the car's beaten one friends' 350 crate camino and another friends' 355 ci motor pushin somewhere around 400.  

the integra kid wont tell anybody what he's got under the hood so he's obviously hiding something and i cant get my mind off of thinking what a great entrance i'd have when i fix my car that i beat the 'fastest' car at school.  i think i could win but what about you guys and whaddaya think he has helping him push the power?

Hey Marc (I guess that's your name..??)... anyways... I'm a senior in high school this year... I've had my fair share of wins and loses against the Ricers at my school... and with a school population of 3100... that's a lot of 'em!!  

Sounds like you got a screamer car there.... post some pics... would love to see it... a kid at my school just picked up a '69 Cornet R/T 440-4BBL... auto.... freakin' flies!! Everyone is scared to race him... whips too much ass!!

What year Integra... that'll tell me what engine... I highly doubt he's running NOS, but if his 'rents bought the car... who knows...as for what he's already done.. sounds like he's got some money... body kit adds 0 HP, exhaust adds 15-50 depending on what all he did (aka - header, pipes, mufflers)...as for putting out 3-400 HP... I HIGHLY DOUBT IT... remember... these are 4 banger engines... hell, my slant six doesn't even put out 150 HP... but that's another story!!  

Lemme tell you this out of everything I've said so far... get your car street legal and running... forget about looks... that's just an advantage... go find that kid... tell him what you want to do.. get some people (friends from both sides)... and race!! Now do this legally (or as legally as you can)!! LOL.... I can almost guarntee you a win.... now, I have talked with Ricer guys about hidden 'items'.... MSD in the intake box, hidden NOS controller behind the firewall... have an engine showdown before you guys race... that'll show who's really got the balls....!!

OK, enough of me yaking on... go do it, tell us how it went... then we'll have some more fun!!

for the year...could i just say...new?  lol, it cant be more than 3 years old...maybe 4.  my lil problem with my car is that nothing is hooked up (engine, wiring, headers, driveshaft, haha doesnt even have two seats) i need some money to get it on the road and well, that's seriously ALL i need.  shifter, hooking up, seats, speedo and some sheet metal...windows and the mechs if im gonna park it.  i have a few pics of it but here is the smallest one that shows the most.  the rest are too big to post.

You sure there's a 440 under that hood... that's a flat hood... usually only for 318's or smaller... good hiding!!

haha, no air cleaner, and the beast closes tight as is.  i am just about positive it is a 440...and also think it is a magnum.  HUAH!  once i can get some pictures that dont take up so much space i will show ya some more...but now i've just got em over 1MB.

theres a couple issues here.  first and foremost, street racing isnt smart.  not like i should talk as i seldom back off from one, but one thing i dont do is plan ahead of time and make a big deal about it.  ive heard countless stories about high schoolers racing after school with everyone looking on and someone gets killed.  nough of my preaching there.  i do it, though im not always proud to admit that.  the next thing is that some ricers can be fast.  my brother has a teg, turbo chargerd, intercooled, etc.  it was hard for me to compare how fast it was until last night when he demolished a lightning after the dude challenged him to a race.  it wasnt even close and lightnings run mid high 13s in the quarter.  most ricers are all noise but some are fast.  ultimately heres what id do.  your car has more mystique to it.  people expect it to be fast, specially if its running slicks and has a beefy exhaust note.  just drive it calm and cool and let the ricer get worried about you.  act like hes not worth the gas to race.  if he says your scared just smile, throw a wink and walk away.  that will only irck him more.

Whats up guys, I'm 22 and already feel like an old man when I talk like this.  I dont feel putting my car or my health on the line is worth it for anyone, especially a ricer.  Now I just cruise and try to look cool.  Although I did do my share of racing back in the day.  I killed some Civics and Integra's  but my neighbors 1989 rx-7 (non turbo) put me to great shame.  He smoked me so bad that I havn't done it since.  I later found out that he had a 13 second car.  Anyways be safe.

lol i liked that idea charger and that was kiinda along the lines of what i'd end up doin...except if  was going to the movies or somethin and 'just so happened' to see him next to me then pssh...it's all going down from there.  lol

i dont think i'd have to worry about any of the other REAL cars beatin me cause those things are just chevys...lol.  nah they have some beefy ones around here but not too many in the younger crowd, those are all ricers.  

i do know that if it ever came down to it that being careless just to win a race isnt the way to go cause well, **** happens and sometimes it can be REALLY bad.

Hey Marc, I'm a Junior in H.S. too. Luckily, we have a large crowd of domestic followers, but I'm really the only Mopar one. But hey, at least they are thinking next best, Chevy. I too have the problem with kids in their little ricers that think there car is the "bomb" with those 20" wheels and 21" tires and their "go faster" non-functional" wing and the list goes on and on......Have you seen the newest thing for Imports? It's a bottle that looks like a huge N.O.S. cheater, but it's a subwoofer enclosement. Any ricers who buy that aren't thinking right because they add all this extra crap to their cars, and for what? Added weight to hold it to the road because they're running a four under the hood. The funny thing is I know of this guy in my class who had two Honda CRX's and both of them have hit a street light and bent the frame going less than 25 mph!!!! I think that's hilarious Just goes to show you get what you paid for; a life-size tin can on wheels. Oh, and if you do race him, give him all you got!! Good luck with your resto. too.
