70 'cuda peg-style rear deck emblem

This is the one that reads 'cuda that goes to the right of the license plate near the trunk lock keyhole at the back. The ones from Year One are excellent stick-on repros and are correct for 71-4 Cudas, and is what I have stuck on mine. The 1970's had a peg style one that mounted into holes in the back, and is not available as an aftermarket part. Mopar Part # 3446960.

Well, the Chrysler Muscle Car Parts Interchange Manual says this piece for a 70 is part # 3446960, for 70 Cuda and AAR. It also says that the part for 71-4 is #3570071. Year One in its catalog sells the good repop (their #VC112) for $28.95 and says it "will function as a replacement for 1970 models with peg-style emblems."

So I don't think yours is original- no big deal, but I found holes drilled for the peg-style and would like to find an original one if possible.

Good luck in your effort. I'm sure many manual say differently. Mine was build June of 70 and never had a peg-style, so I think all is posible.

Mine is December 69, and yours is very late, so maybe they made the change very late in the 1970 production year. That's my guess.
