360 Bearing Clearance Problem

I just installed my 4" Eagle crank and plastigaged the main bearings.  I'm getting 0.004" all across which is too big.  I'll try it again and see what I get.  Otherwise its off to the machine shop for some measuring.  Anybody had this problem?  The bearings are Speedpro 120Ms.

not cool , we will be setting up an eagle crank in the next day or 2 will check the clearance on that

It looks like the crank is about 0.0015" under the nominal size.  I can get bearings 0.001" small I am told.  This should give me about 0.003" clearance which is max clearance I would think.  I am using SpeedPro (Federal Mogul) mains as Clevite doesn't list a chamfered bearing for the 360 although I am not 100% sure I need them.

How was the thrust? My 4" Mopar crank would not drop into the block with the # 3 bearing in place. It was hitting the rear of the #4 main web. Indexing and journal sizes were dead nuts, at least.

I haven't checked the thrust yet.  The crank does fit.  I was going to check the main clearances and then lube it up to check the total endfloat.  I may have been wrong about the journals being undersized.  I assumed that they were 2.812.  I measured them at 2.810.
