Sorry to talk other brands but I recently had some dramas on the initial startup of the new 351C I put into my Falcon which i'm driving around while my 'Cuda is getting it's chassis repaired..   After alot of cranking of the starter and making several batterys flat I realised it just wasn't going to start.. After a compression test which showed I had none I found that the pushrods were too long and were preventing the valves from closing... I fixed that, got it fired and did the usual 20-30min run in at 2500..

I've put around 7000 on it since then but I have noticed a little bit of lifter noise lately ( new comp cams antipump lifters ) ..  Do you think if it's still running ok by 7000 it's ok or could I be stuck with two cars off the road soon :(

new comp cams anti-pump lifters

LOL!.........................LOL!...........................LOLOLOLOLOLOOOOOOLLLLOOOLLL!!!!!!!!

Joint the club!
I have three sets of these lifters in the yard, in engines, one has a flat cam lobe, and two clatter, including my Dually.
I think we are better off with the cheapo lifters.
