440 6-pack swap converter question
« on: October 28, 2005 - 08:33:23 PM »
I am getting ready to swap in a 440-6pack into my challenger that currenlty has a 400 cast crank with a 727. It has a 2800 stall convertor and I was trying to see if I can use the same convertor or if I need to buy another one. This question has more to do with ballancing than stall.

Will I need to re-ballance the convertor or will be useable the way it is? Can just get a flexplate? I really don't have a clue what it is going to take and am looking to the experts to help me out.

Thanks in advance!

Any idea the part number? I have a 440-6 external balance 6 bolt crank. I've look in a few places and have not found one specifically for the 440-6.

Thanks!
